Well Known Doctor to Land at National Space Centre
Doctor Who I here you call and in line with the age old school playground joke, that is exactly who is coming to visit on 2-3 July at the National Space Centre, Doctor Who.
Thanks to the Hyde Fundraisers, a Doctor Who fan group who raise money for charities including Children in need, visitors will be able to meet characters from the series, including Doctors old and new, Ood Sigma, Roboform Santa, Sec Hybrid, Clockwork Robot and a Smiler.
Katy Manning will be joining them for Time and Space. Katy played companion Jo Grant, to Third Doctor Jon Pertwee. Her character also returned for a guest appearance in the fourth series of the spin-off The Sarah Jane Adventures, in 2010.
In the hub of the galleries visitors will be able to see the full display of Dr Who characters, or take a seat in the Space Now Gallery for some amazing presentations:
• Making Monsters - how Hyde Fundraisers create the stunning creatures and costumes
• The Trial of Davros - Hylton Collins (The President) explains the background of the show and screens some footage from the specially recreated Dalek inserts.

A Green Screen will be in place for a unique memento of the visit featuring a whole host of characters and backgrounds.
For the ultimate Doctor Who fan, there is the addition of the UNIT laboratory?
UNIT EXPOSED - Take a tour with the UNIT Captain and the Professor of this special laboratory here in the Challenger Learning Centre at the National Space Centre. Discover the truth behind the myth and see some of the captured technologies. K9 will be on hand to guide you through, so what could possibly go wrong… Doctor? Doctor!!!
Some activities will incur an additional cost. All monies from this event will be going to charity. Activities are subject to availability and change.
