We really are getting excited about Movie Mania in our office, we even made masks this week!
It seems the amount of work that goes into making an awesome event has taken its toll on the team. We have been "testing" the children's craft sessions, just to make sure they work of course!
Jamie seems most effected, as he has spent the week on the phone to agents, again, to secure another star for our Star Signing zone. Finn Jones will be joining Mark Addy in a Game of Thrones Saturday, but we still have a few more calls waiting to be answered, so we might have more good news next week.
Gareth is our web guru, he has been creating all the great 2.0s and we are just loving 2.0 Iron Man and Mary Poppins. Of course being creative he had to make sure his Captain America mask was joined with a shield/frisbee... these creative types are such perfectionists (thank goodness!)
I, of course, went for Iron Man. Firstly it meant my face was covered for the photo, well it is Friday, but also I think Tony Stark and I have a lot in common (I wish).
So the crafts have been checked, we have an Indiana Jones treasure hunt ready, the Stargate team are on standby to put people through their paces, the prizes are piling up on my desk for the children to win, Will Turner is heading in land to take control of the Pirate School, there is a vac former ready to make a Biker Scout helmet (thanks Nathan), Martin is ready to make people look horrid with SFX make up, the display of props is growing daily and there are now over 100 costume characters signed up to invade over the two days.
Phew... hang on did I mention that the lovely chaps from the Replica Prop Board are also putting together a full 2012 Dredd costume over the weekend!!!
We'll all need to sleep for a week after this one, but it will all be worth it when we see lots of happy fans and families, as well as a nice big cheque for charity at the end of it.

Major Timothy Peake will become the first official UK astronaut when he visits the ISS in 2015.
