Yes, that was the National Space Centre on BBC3 hit TV show Don't Tell the Bride.
"Fashion-conscious Holly Binnington gives full control of her wedding to her logical space cadet beau Anthony Richardson. Within months of meeting, these star-crossed lovers knew that their future together was written in the stars and Holly immediately planned her elegant and stylish Italian dream wedding. Unfortunately Holly's dream wedding had to be cancelled, so now Anthony has just three weeks and £12,000 to pull off mission improbable and give Holly a wedding that's truly out of this world.
What will happen when space-geek Anthony takes one small step for man, one giant leap for wedding planning? Will Holly get the super-stylish wedding she desires and deserves or will there be a failure to launch? Can this space cadet groom give his fashionista fiancée the wedding of her dreams?"
It was a great team to work with and from the moment we met Anthony we knew we had to do what ever it took to make this happen.
Anthony skipped down the ramp to our first meeting, with a beaming smile on his face. He wowed us with his space knowledge (job offer in the post Anthony) and more importantly, his total focus on making this wedding the best day he possibly could for the love of his life, Holly.
He worked tirelessly to make everything happen and it was a delight to go on this journey with him.
The National Space Centre might not be every Brides idea of the perfect venue, but Holly was so delighted to see Anthony after the three week separation, we are sure she would have married him anywhere.
The couple had arrival drinks under the Soyuz capsule and then took a private tour through the Rocket Tower. No guide was needed, as Anthony knew all the right facts and figures to tell Holly.
Dinner under our Blue Streak and Thor Able rockets, followed by launch powered cake cutting and dancing the night away in the hub of our galleries made for an out of this world evening for all involved.
And the icing on the cake... as Holly and Anthony recorded their final comments to camera, the International Space Station passed overhead. A complete coincidence or was their love really written in the stars.
If you are interested in hiring the Centre for a wedding, anniversary, prom or launch event (we have rockets after all) then please let us know. Our dedicated Events team can tailor make a package for you that is so good you'll want the world to see it on TV.
Thanks to the amazing James Tracey Photography, here are some of the images from the wedding...
