This week, thanks to competitions on our website and Facebook pages, over 250 people turned out on a cold and dark October evening to be whisked into space and beyond our Galaxy.
Liquid nitrogen frozen ice cream was consumed, alien slime was made, rockets were fired, out of this world flavours of popcorn were tested and a giant alien hunt took place in the 42m high Rocket Tower.
All this was culminated by the star of the show, We are Aliens, the brand new full dome planetarium show from the award winning NSC Creative.
We are Aliens! Is the story of the most important journey humankind has ever undertaken, the search to discover if we are alone in the Universe.
The show is narrated by Rupert Grint, who the whole world has witnessed growing up as Ron Weasley in the phenomena that is Harry Potter.
Here is some of the feedback from the event on Facebook:
- Thank you so much for last night! Was brilliant to be able to look round everywhere, scoff sweets and weird popcorn and enjoy the gorgeous ice cream. The experience of watching We Are Aliens in the planetarium was totally out of this world. My 6 year old was entranced (and he is pretty impressed that he made slime too) - thank you everyone! X
- Have just come home from the premier of We Are Aliens and we had a fabulous time, the show was amazing. My son's two friends haven't been there before and their mums have text me to say they're raving about it and want to go back asap
