A First Blog Post

Blog

So what to write? How do you make history and write the first bit of copy that you hope will be read by potential or past visitors?

I suppose you start with why you are doing this and what you hope people want to hear...

We are just recovering from our amazing Star Wars weekend, with record numbers of visitors we started to see for the first time the impact of Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites. I mean, we have always tried to talk to our visitors and, more importantly, listen, but when the whole world can see what you are saying it does make a huge difference.

With Star Wars weekend we talked and listened, building an event that was dictated by the people the event was really for, families and fans.

I suppose that is what we hope will happen with this blog, we will talk to you about what we are doing at the National Space Centre as a visitor attraction and you will tell us if we are doing things right or not.

If you want to know about the news in space right now we do have another blog called, surprisingly enough, Space Now. That is where our brains will get to work finding out what is happening and making it accessible to all.

So, there you have it... a blog to talk to you about the National Space Centre and a blog for spacey stuff too. Hope you enjoy them.
