As you gain experience in the use of e-Mission: Operation Montserrat you may develop ways to improve the experience for your students or to make it easier for you to facilitate the mission. This kind of knowledge and experience is invaluable to you but can also be useful to other educators new to the e-Missions.
e-Mission Control would like to share e-Mission developments and ideas from teachers all over the world. The next few pages are an archive of short Tips and Resources submitted by teachers and freely available for use.
The Mission Media Archive is a record of past missions. All the media is available for the inspiration of other teachers or students towards success in their mission or to create similar Media.
Please feel free to submit any tips or resources that may be useful to others via the Submit page.

Preparing for a successful mission.
|
The key to a successful mission is to have all the paperwork prepared in advance and then for everyone to be very clear about their role. You cannot have too many spares for the hurricane tracking map!
To finish off after the mission you can find pictures of Plymouth, Montserrat as it is now on the Internet. These are a good background to your plenary.

Whistle Blower is a must...
|
Provide the Communications Officer with a Whistle! It works a treat, I got the comms officer to blow the whistle once to inform everyone they need to quieten down & two short blasts if they want everyone to stop and listen. BUT you must make sure they hit the mute first or you will see mission control nearly leave their seat at the shock!(something we discovered!)

Certainly did seem to work. Thank you for remembering the mute button.
