e-Missions are operated by Flight Directors from The Education and Programmes Team at The National Space Centre, Leicester. The Challenger Learning Centre
The Challenger Learning Centre at the National Space Centre, Leicester is part of a network of more than 50 Challenger Learning Centres across the world, setup after the Challenger Space Shuttle tragedy in 1986. The e-Mission is a product of The Challenger Center at Wheeling Jesuit University in West Virginia, USA. e-Mission: Operation Montserrat has been licenced for use by The National Space Centre and has been modified to link to the national curriculum and for use with British schools.
