Living and Working in Space
The National Space Centre has a range of artefacts and examples of space hardware that are not normally on show to the public. These items are made for manned space flight and some have even flown in space having been donated by the astronauts that they belonged to. The presenter talks the students through the equipment, how it is designed to cope with the harsh conditions of Earth orbit and adapted to suit the needs of the astronauts. The presenter will also update students with the current status of manned space flight and the development of the International Space Station.
