Within this section of the website you can find material to enhance your visit to the National Space Centre.
There are four main sections:
The first is Pre-visit Material, which contains information and suggested activities that can be used before or after the visit to enable students to do some research or reflection on some of the topics touched on in the galleries, workshops and presentations.
The second is Exhibition Trails, which are designed to focus your time in the galleries by asking questions the answers to which can be found within the text panels, displays and interactives. These are written to match the demands of different Key Stages and different subject areas.
The third is the ‘Mars Pack’. Written in conjunction with Glasgow Science Centre as educational materials to support the ‘Mars’ Space Theatre show, this pack is made up of blocks of themed activities that are useful for any teachers preparing lessons on the Solar System, not just the red planet.
The fourth is Links, links to the websites of our sponsors and education partners, many of which carry large quantities of quality teaching materials, resources and information.
