From the 2nd to 31st August 2003, the National Space Centre held a Solar Festival. Free Bouncy Castles, free face-painting and free flight factory workshops were just some of the activities available for the visitors. Other special activities included two gyroscopes and a bungee moonwalker, along with the five themed galleries and the Space Theatre. Families also got involved in Red Station Down, the new simulated family mission in Challenger Learning Centre, presented by BT.
