Boosters Café
Take a seat under giant rockets or in our Soyuz Lounge for a refuel during your visit.
Our café serves hot and cold drinks, as well as snacks and food prepared by our in-house catering team. Enjoy nachos, jacket potatoes, hot dogs, soup, sandwiches, salads, wraps and cakes and more! We have healthy, vegetarian and vegan (Ve) options throughout the menu, as well as gluten-free items that can be made to order.
Certified Family-Friendly
The National Space Centre is committed to Space for Everyone, so it is important that we support every member of the family.
Boosters Cafe provide children's meal deals and smaller portion options, as well as high chairs, bottle warming and a microwave.
There are water-refill stations available should you wish to bring your own refill bottles, and our team are always happy to work with you to help with any dietary requirements.

Focused on Sustainability
Our packaging and service wear are from Vegware and Planglow, so even though they may look like plastic or paper, they are actually made from plant-based compostable materials.
All of our waste is hand sorted, which removes at least 94% of all refuse from landfill.
If you bring your own refillable water bottle we have two refill stations situated in the LIVE Space gallery, and next to the John Egglestone Suite and ticketing areas.
Staying Close to Home
We love Leicestershire and know how much incredible food is produced here.
Where possible, we have switched to sourcing ingredients from local suppliers. This helps us support local businesses, reduce delivery distances, source seasonal ingredients, and strengthen our commitment to sustainability.
Breastfeeding-Friendly
Every member of the family should be able to enjoy lunch together under our giant rockets, especially our littlest astronauts.
However, we do fully appreciate that this is a personal decision, so if you prefer a quite space to feed baby please ask any of our team members.
We have a baby changing room next to the shop (if you need nappies or wipes just ask).
Local, Specialty Coffee
We source our coffee from St Martin's, an independent, passionate roasters just 8 miles from the National Space Centre.
They were the first specialty coffee roasters to open in Leicester, sourcing high-quality coffee from producers who treat their environment and people with respect and fairness.
The Veg Factor
Another one of our long standing local suppliers are The Veg Factor, who are in Barrow-upon-Soar, just 7 miles from the Centre.
They provide all our fruit, salad and vegetables for our cafe and venue hire catering, including working with our Chef to offer special seasonal sustainability menus to our conference clients.
The Veg Factor source products from local producers and supply it to some of the best restaurants locally, so we are in good company.
