We are looking to recruit a Technical Support Electronics Specialist to undertake full Duty Technician responsibilities, including the daily operation of the exhibition and responding to technical issues, while acting as the lead specialist for electronics (systems, faults, and projects) across the organisation. They will also use the resources and technology available to ensure the highest standard of technical support across the National Space Centre. 

The successful candidate will have a strong practical knowledge of electronics systems, components and fault-finding, the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues under pressure, and excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Events Crew Team Members will be required to greet guests, serve and clear food and drinks during the events.

Applicants should have proven experience within a customer-focused environment, working face-to-face with members of the public.  Some experience of working within in a waiting / bar staff role would be an advantage.  You should have excellent communication skills and a flexible, adaptable and willing attitude towards work. Smart personal appearance and a passion for delivering high quality events are essential.

The role is casual. Working hours are usually from 5pm until the end of the event (expected early hours of the morning – the exact finish time will vary by event). There will be a requirement to work weekends during December due to Christmas Parties.

This role is offered on a zero-hours contract. Due to the event-based nature of the role, shifts will vary depending on when events are taking place and will not follow a fixed shift pattern. Shifts are allocated based on your availability and the shifts you would like to work, subject to event requirements and availability.

    • Travel & Tourism – Diploma, BTEC, HND, degree etc
