    Destination Dining is an opportunity for you to join the National Space Centre’s teams to celebrate our planet, enjoy food from local providers, actively help reduce food miles, eat the very best of the season and discover how science is making a positive impact on lives right here in Leicester.

    Arrive beneath giant rockets, sip an exclusive Space Cocktail, sit down in the heart of our galleries to a sumptuous two-course meal, before joining our in-house astronomer for a tour of the night sky.

    Don’t forget, you will have the whole Centre to explore*, so take a trip to the moon and back, but leave the hard work to us.

This Month's Theme

The menu is based on 'Space Rocks' - Get up close and personal to some of the oldest rocks in space, meteorites. 

You can even see a piece of Mars that fell to Earth as a meteorite in our galleries after your meal!

To celebrate the OSIRIS-REx mission, the first US mission to collect a sample from an asteroid, the menu has been inspired by the Egyptian god Osiris, the god of fertility, agriculture, the afterlife, and vegetation in ancient Egyptian religion:

The voucher is for two people, and can be redeemed for any Destination Dining event up to 12 months after purchase (subject to availability).

Yes, there is a free cloakroom available on the night.

Yes, the rocket tower is open till 7.45pm and the main exhibition is open till 11.30pm.

Yes, there is a bar available on the night, or you can pre-order drinks for your table when you book.

Please let us know the names of any other people who have booked who you would like to be seated with you when you book. We are more than happy to put groups together if requested in advance (we cannot do this on the night unfortunately). 

Standard tables will be in the main hub area of our exhibition galleries. If you are looking for private dining, please select the number of private rooms and unique locations when booking, which include our Tetrastar Spaceport.
