Widely regarded as one of the greatest musicians of his generation Prince scores and stars in this movie that went on to be preserved in the United States National Film Registry for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

Including such hits as "When Doves Cry" and "Let's Go Crazy", as well as the title track "Purple Rain", this 40th celebration cinema screening can be enjoyed as it should be, with surround sound.

Boosters cafe and bar will be open before the screening.

A young musician, tormented by an abusive situation at home, must contend with a rival singer, a burgeoning romance, and his own dissatisfied band, as his star begins to rise.

Take a richly-human story of survival and triumph, a new soundtrack by the hottest bands around and the startling presence and musicality of rock superstar Prince – the man who lived the music – and you’ve got what may be in Rolling Stone’s words "the smartest, most spiritually ambitious rock-’n’-roll movie ever made".
